I've been working on a few Minecraft launchers, and I was wondering what people would think of having this launcher save to a "Application Data/.minerealm" folder instrad on the vanilla "Application Data/.minecraft" folder, this way you could have mods and such, or a completly vanilla game if you use the vanilla launcher.

That, like bones idea, would also be taking minecraft, renaming it minerealm, and then redistributing it (I Think).

No, It simply changes it's game location on your hard drive. It does not rename it "Minerealm"

Uh, no, not really. All I'm suggesting is that instead of MC update info, there is MR server update info. That is not turning MineRealm into a game.

I'm doing this on the splashscreens on the title screen, I might be able to mod the launcher to show the minerealm twitter posts though

Includes:
[*]updated to 1.2
[*]gave everyone a minerealm cape (only people using the client will be able to see the capes)
[*]removed the new title screen and spashscreens(will be back soon)
and in a couple dayss, expect a new version to come out which will include the custom title screen and fix the STAFF tags above staff's head
