I would also like to point out how helpfull this would be to big cities, if thus is accepted, not all members would be able to mess up the motds, also you wouldn't have to wait for the owner to come on to be added

I'm pretty sure the only reason why this won't be implemented is that it's not useful for everyone. You know, many players on this server just have their own realms and occasionally they add their friends.

It's just a "bells & whistles" feature that we could live without. Plus it makes the game more complicated and requires more coding.
