I've died in quite a number of different ways on minerealm, almost too many different ways to write down here and quite a few of them make for quite a story to tell.
But, I guess start my most infuriating one which involved me out in the wildernesson the current survival map , on my own collecting supplies; wool, yellow and red flowers, bones, etc. But, most importantly I was digging out clay from river beds (looking for alternatives to Grey Wool for scupltures).
Rather than damage the river too much, I would dive down to the bottom with a shovel and quickly dig out so clay, collect it and return quickly to the surface for air. I did this for quite a while, remembering to sethome at a particular point. I managed to dig out a hidden alcove in a river bank that had an airpocket, that I could hide in safely. So I followed several rivers, losing track of time and my location when I made the fatal mistake of not surfacing quickly enough. I panicked.... I tried to type /home quickly whilst drowning.
However I made the mistake of typing . instead of / for /home.
My finger had slipped and before I could retype I drowned.
Ended up going back to where I thought I died with a few fellow minerealmers, but in the end we never did find the dropped items.

There have been other times when I've drowned and successfully retraced my steps to with the drop, but the lesson I learnt from that episode was to either take a friend when going out to do dangerous work, and or go equiped with aqua affinity leather helmets and efficiency shovels or to use dirt to dam the river to make it easier to dig the clay out and then try to repair the damage afterwards.

Gets 64 + 51 diamond ore, Goes to lava, crouches and starts building a pathway

Camping Spawn portal (after the rule change...) with a full set of Protection III diamond armor.
Gets bored, and goes for a walk to abyssus, and through the Nether Rail.
See's a sign, "Crystal Village" (or was it glass village? idk).
Thinks, "meh, whats the harm", turns out, this is Spritzo, Stalin, and jwhal's realms.
See's an Encased NPC Village (Stalinville Labour camp?) and walk's through a 2x1 entrance tunnel.
An Iron door in my way, i push the button, when the floor beneath me disapears, dunking me through lava, and into a ravine-death pit.
Re-spawning, I msg Spritzo, and make my way back, Spritzo says "sure, i go get it for you"
He only managed to get his hands on my sword and bread, the rest despawned right in front of him.
The best i could do was laugh at my stupidity.

Algeon accidentally got in. He should not be banned, and we are willing to pay reasonably for any hurt pride that this gives to the Diamond Exchange.

Listen around children, and I will tell you about Algeon's deathstory.

One day, the Diamond Exchange sold a lot of stuff to an outstanding buyer. He happily purchased half a stack of glowstone, many iron blocks, gold blocks. In total, 15k of stuff.
Then, he started happily walking around, with these items, not a care in the world. Then, the corner of his eye preyed on an unsuspecting ender man. This fine ender man had not noticed his attacker until it was too late. He fell immediately to a whizzing enchanted blade of diamond, and dropped his fine pearl of blue.
Algeon fell upon the treasure, eager. He traveled back to spawn, and traipsed around to the back of the diamond exchange, where a neat hole sat, facing into the locked control room.
Then, in a sheer moment of madness, he whipped up his ender pearl, and launched it happily in. His body teleported into the control room with a flurry of purple sparks, and, while warping through space-time of this minecraftian world, suffered side effects that every law-defying body in Minecraftia must withstand. He withstood the trial, but only just, with but one precious heart left and no food. He felt giddy with this little power flipped some switches. One of these drew the drawbridge, the entrance.
Now content and unsuspecting to the mayhem he had just caused, he threw a new ender pearl accidentally, that he had just found hiding somewhat discreetly in his inventory. He suffered once more. Yet this time, he could not pay the bodily price. Angered, the Great and Noble Notch hastily put him to a evil, painful death.
He panicked, oh he panicked. And so, he took rather long to get a new ender pearl of brilliance. And so, the finery of glowstone, gold, iron, and obsidian, popped out of existence, never to be heard or seen again.

Moral: Don't give your kids ender pearls. They will die!

My worst death of all time was in the nether with Smith.
I had protection III diamond armour and a sharp IV fire aspect II knockback II diamond sword, that I purchased for 15k. This was about the third time I brought it into the nether and Smith and I were talking. Liam7113 ran in while we were chatting and potion spammed me until I was drowning in insta damage II. He got everything, while I was typing a little sentence... rage quit.
(After that he told me to give him 10 stacks of glowstone, 20k and to comment on Logan121214's ban appeal)

Well this one I didn't lose much i don't think, although it wouldn't have mattered due to my location.

I was out doing stuff elsewhere and finished and decided to just /home. When I did it i popped up in the middle of my manor and bam literally /home camping me were two creepers... Both went off before my screen finished loading and i died... Positive side of things is that I died on my /home spot so was easy to come back.

Man those creepers are ninjas...
