Hey guys!
So I have been messing around with redstone and pistons. I have created 2 separate elevators- One that goes up and one that goes down. If I ever figure out how to make an up and down elevator using this same format I will post it as well.
Now down to the point. I would like to ask my most trusted Minecraft advisers -The people of Minerealm- To test out my designs and post what you think.
I would really appreciate if you would try this.

See I had a working elevator that worked flawlessly up and down in a rotation, problem is it couldn't work on MR :/ but I'll check it out.

I tried an elevator on MR but you can't use it at decent speeds because of the lag. You could ofcourse sow it down but that defeats the point of the elevator in the first place.

I have to agree, I think lag might be your biggest enemy with the elevator idea. If you're more interested in making a 2-way elevator instead of a fast one, this one looks doable:

As for the down elevator, I just land in a stack of 3 water blocks bounded by walls on 3 sides and contained by my climbing ladder on the 4th. I use it frequently on Minerealm and have never been kicked for flying even when falling all the way to bedrock.

Oh ok. I have figured out a way to make a fast 2 way elevator. I will be finishing that soon.

Why make the elevator two way?
instead, make a water drop to go down.

make it like that, you wont take damage no matter how far you fall.
