Hello all minerealmers. Recently Sir_dave88 and I have started to continue the East line almost another 2k blocks. Well 1700 to be more exact. The east line turns south at x1055 z100. "Benizakura90" added his own line that you have to jump off your cart to get to at this same spot. His line takes him to a line that goes about another 250 blocks east. We have not yet contacted Beni but have already lined up with his subway station if he agrees to let us connect. If he does I was curious about maybe making some sort of Hub or mini station where the line splits east and south. It would allow the true east line to actually make it out 2700 blocks instead of only 1000 and it would end at Sir_dave88's beautiful station that he already has plans of connecting to Roanoke and possibly going other directions.

From what I've seen, intersections between lines going in three or more directions tend to have junctions at the level of the railway, rather than at a separate station. Such junctions have a lever to control what direction you end up going (and the options are listed on a sign by the lever), and a button to proceed from that junction onwards.

The advantage of these simple junctions is that they slightly speed up transit when compared to a separate station--players using the railway can stay in their carts, and only need to pull a lever and press a button to proceed, rather than needing to leave the cart, destroy it, and walk over to a new track. The disadvantages, of course, are that the simple underground junctions do not look as nice as full stations, and that they do not allow the option to exit the subway and return to ground level.

In short, adding an above-ground hub would be an option, particularly if you want the intersection to be more visually appealing. But it would not be necessary if you don't want to spend time designing and building a large structure.

On an unrelated note, I look forward to seeing Dave's station. His buildings are always awesome!

What about a combination? Like the line you're on continues (but has the usual button stop) but there's another line above you on another level and a path to the surface (Or maybe a full blown underground station)?

Also, I feel it should be brought to the attention of the Subway workers, the North line is missing pieces of track.

I still need to decide what we're doing at that junction, and yea we know about the north line, not sure if its been fixed or not :)

I would suggest making more rails to more towns. People really seem to like using the Subway. Each town should have a subway to spawn. Before you make a subway to a town. Make sure the owner is okay with it. I really enjoy the Subway, keep it up. :D
