This would be more accurately titled "Traditional Marriage as defined by the Torah".

Seeing as all the passages quoted come from the Torah (Jewish holy scripture), which makes up the first 5 books of the Old Testament in the Christian bible. Seeing as the bible has at least 66 books ( As accepted by Protestants), it would be better to describe it as Torah, rather than the Bible, seeing as this leaves out 61 books of the Bible, but includes all 5 books of the Torah.

Also, people really need to stop taking the Old Testament literally. The Old Testament should be looked at more of as theoretical lessons and praise of God. The New Testament is a much more cheerful and clear thing.

Also, the only parts of the bible I would consider taking literally are in the old testament. The new testament is just...a retold story. A fanciful one at that.

Yes actually, but only a little. Unfortunately this is a web forum and not a proper discussion. I'd really prefer to have a more detailed discussion on the merits of genisis than a forum will allow.

Torah is the only accurate title for the topic simply because at some point Christ declared the Old Testament invalid since he had arrived.

I'm not finding the verse. In class and too lazy due to projects for finals.
