Yeah, if we made it private that would destroy the purpose of Spawn City, though I think that people shouldn't be able to destroy blocks until they have played for a certain amount of time. This will stop new players from griefing just for recources. Just an idea.

Having spawn city be public is epic griefer bait. So keep it public.

Instead of privatizing it, keep it under control by the people and just put in some hard work and keep it looking nice. Spawn City represents all of us, every single person to enter the server and especially those who spend a lot of time online.

I like the run down slum look of heavily used citys. Seeing a few pristine towers rising out of the destroyed muck, only to come back an hour later and see the towers smashed and broken with new buildings rising up in place of other buildings. Spawn city is the most organic city on the server and I like it that way.

Spawn city has a special place and role on the server. Its the communal area where everyone can go, and its also the first thing someone sees when they join. Honestly, i think the message it sends is the right one. The message i get from spawn city is that-

We like to build and are free to do so.
We have an active, strong community.
There is greifing, but when it happens we rise past it and keep going forward.

That is the message i get from spawn city. Would you honestly like to play on a highly ordered server with rigid rules on all things? I would be bored to tears. Spawn city is as it should be, a living, very active, constantly changing city. Any attempt to keep it static is really just an attempt to make it stagnate.
