Are you attempting to run any texture packs / mod files? If so, you may have done something wrong or not done something i.e. HD texture packs need to be patched by the mcpatcher or else I think you just get a freeze/crash. Some mod files also won't work if you have recently installed a texture pack. Just some suggestions.

My has been doing that today. It hasn't been freezing up however, it has just been giving me a error number and then a URL.

Hope Notch can fix it soon!

Well I wasn't referring to hacks individually, but it seems the issue is being dealt with and it's not a client-side problem.

I can't get back on to the servers either meepers. Just sit back, relax and wait.

He's not the only one with the issue. I know me and Taxidriver308 are runing clean clients, and we can't get in either.
