Easy is baby mode and offers no advantages to moderate for me.

Moderate is fine by me.
That way I don't starve to death while i'm eating/cooking or answering phone calls.

Hard would cause even MORE nagging of new people, and this server seems to survive on the hundreds of newcommers everyday.

I've tried the new system, and monster have a way harder time killing you when your food bar is healing you while you run.
Before, 3 creepers would surely kill me in SP, now I've fought of 5, a zombie and an Enderman, and lived with only 2 drumsticks gone.
