Er... ignorant question but, how do you tell the client not to update?

Yeah, the client thing says either update or force update, and it updates either way....

It should give you the option to update or not. However, it sounds like that isn't working for everyone.

The way I got it to work was to:
1. get the new launcher
2. update to 1.3
3. close out minecraft
4. delete or move (to a different folder) minecraft.bin
5. start up minecraft again and you should be able to get the prompt of not to update (it may also update by itself, but to 1.2_02 not 1.3)

Bukkit needs to be updated, so we are waiting on bukkit. Currently pvp doesn't work correctly with it.

I really want to play on the server but it wont let me because of the same reasons. and what do you do to make it work again since minecraft updated.. it says that the server is outdated

If you read the earlier topics they have to update the server.
