Definitely getting this game, but I haven't decided whether to get it for Xbox or pc (or ps3). I have more friends that would rather play on pc, but mine is pretty crap. I like the fact that on a console I would get almost no lag, but in bfbc2 teamwork is what makes it fun. And on a console, that's really just not gonna happen. I would have preordered by now... But what platform!?
That is the question...

The fact that there is so many people who play Call of Duty saying they will switch to Battlefield makes that switch irrelevant because they think they will be great team players because they talk about how the game needs team players but in reality they will most likely be some of the worst squad members.

i have faced situations like that in battlefield two, many people just sit there waiting.... however, i find it much more rewarding to be in the passenger seat of the helicopter.

In battlefield on PC, i think people created stronger teams. Especially with all the clans about.
I play with my friends, you might know sparkyman and _iBiS_ from Minerealm. And i do often find it more valuable to sit in the passenger part of a helicopter and repair it.

Although people try to go on their own, there is simply no question, your much more effective as a team.

Yes, Battlefield 3 will definitely bury MW3 if they don't come out with anything innovative by the time they come out. Battlefield has so many things going for it. Although some people like to rambo in their games, and those are the types of people that will be playing MW3.

I'm really looking at the sniper class and the suppressing class. The new suppressing feature is interesting and will probably lead to some cool tactical advantages for both the attackers and the defenders. Going prone is going to help a lot with the sniping too.

I've only ever played Bad Company 1&2 and I've never had the pleasure of experiencing the joy of driving a jet or going prone as a sniper. It should be interesting, I can't wait until it finally comes out. I'm also excited for the destruction engine, it makes buildings a more important part of the game. If you have a building standing in between the attackers and the defender's flag or bomb or what have you, it makes it more important for the defenders to ensure that the building isn't destroyed, and it makes it important for the attackers to destroy it as quickly as possible. It makes the game more fun and realistic.

As for the PC/Xbox thing, I'll probably be getting it for Xbox, then after I get a better computer (I'm planning on getting a job so I can have some throw-away money to save up to build a supercharged computer) I'm going to buy a copy for the PC, because teamwork is much easier on a PC because you're able to strategize with your team before a battle, more effectively communicate with your team through headsets, issue commands easier from the click of the mouse, etc. (through the rose-menu or whatever they called it) I played Battlefield 2142 on the PC and, even without a headset, it was a much better experience than I ever got out of either Bad Company 1 or 2.

In Battlefield 2, I had a legitimate squad that stuck together and seized objectives as a unit. It may not even have been capturing points, because BF2 was strategic enough that we may just have had to hold a specific road or choke point in order to do our part.

So teamwork. Bring it back.

And derpy "run around, shoot enemies" players. Make them leave.
I agree with this. Teamwork is what Battlefield should be about not as you say idiots running around aimlessly shooting at anything that moves. I would love if BF3 was like the old style of game play.

Is it a PC clan?

Edit: wait, teamspeak =P

getting a PC version later, I hope you have openings then because a clan would be awesome.
