I am going to start up this thread to consolidate information on the Minerealm Subway that is currently being planned/built. The subway is being built along y=30, and is going entirely through wilderness/volunteer realms.

The subway currently has its initial beginning at the town square near spawn, and has begun going north from there.

I have been working on a map, that I will update as I get more information/more time.

We are looking for several different things. First, is more destinations. If you are a leader in a city with several active players, you should either post your coordinates or send them to me to be added to the map.

Second, we are looking for volunteer labor. You may not always be able to build the entire distance due to needing build rights, but we can almost always use people to dig up stone.

Third, if you own a realm along a path we are building, it would be helpful for you to allow some of the workers to build in it.

Finally, we are looking for donations of iron/gold to actually construct it.
I will now go more in detail into a few points.

Connecting your realm to the subway

If you want to connect your realm to the subway, you first have to let us know about it so we can add it to the plan. We will probably also probably require you to provide some of the labor and a decently large chunk of the supplies, because donations only go so far. You should be able to finance the subway parts that are built to go to you. You can post here and we can help coordinate what is going on.

I am willing to do as much digging as possable. Simply show me where to dig and i'll be there.

Also, when is the digging starting or has it started and what coordinates are needed most. i can dig for hours at a time.

Also, do we get to keep ores and such that we find.

I'm not one to know coordinates off the top of my head, so how deep/long is this planned (as in blocks long/deep) and what are the exact coordinates?

How long is bulding/digging going to take? (if your not sure, esimate.)

Any payment of sorts?

Oh and one last thing, are tools given by chance, or is it bring your own, either way i'm in, but i would be able to do more if given tools.

I currently have space prepared for a subway terminal at X=-1975, Z=-2975

With MrArmyAnt's help I've prepared tunnel running along X=-1975 as far Z=-2270. LM108 and I discussed me tunneling as far as Z=+62 to meet with the tunnel coming north from spawn. I will need about 40 more gold to make it to Z=+62, but that shouldn't take long to aquire.

Anyone in the north east that wants to join the subway is welcome to connect through my realm. Please let me know ahead of time so that I can prepare a tunnel to meet you at the edge of my realms.

EDIT - Construction workers only need to bring 1-2 picks and a stack of logs. Tunneling at this height provides slightly more iron that you need to make tools. Additional iron can be obtained for rails as you intersect caves.

I would be glad to help with a road to Frogtown, as my own territory is close to the frog-road. Since a large number of realms in the area are public, and will be wiped soon, I'll start working on it once the new map starts up. Are we still planning on building it at Y = 29-35 as Intelli suggested?
