Minecart chest issue

On 8/8/11 in the early afternoon, a group of friends and I had our nearly-full supply of iron and gold in a chest which was put into a Minecraft. All that we did was put a couple carts on a looped track, and they ran into each other sometimes. However, the chests simply vanished without any griefers or anyone with privs getting into them. No blocks or ingots remained.

I'm not asking for a resupply of items, just a possible fix on the issue. Thanks.

I can't actually join the server itself... It says logging in for a good 2-3 minutes then says Connection Lost; End Of Stream. What's going on here..?

Its most likely a problem with your internet, do you have dial-up?

1. dispensers can be looted, even in private realms.

2. all the entity values in a chunk of my realm were deleted, so basically all the chests in that chunk are empty and the signs are blank. I don't believe this was a thieving incident because I only let people into my realm that I trust deeply. And some of the chests were in unreachable areas. (I have dirt in the doorway so nobody can get in)

Look into this matter please.

You're supposed to post issues with the server. Crashes, downtime and so on. Leave stuff like this to the suggestions section, or make a post in server discussion if necessary.

it feels like the server is being ddosed times 9000 right now, its happening to other people too, its so bad that its causing my client to get half a frame per second. Also, its causing other windows on my computer to lag, whats happening?

I think ridiculous amounts of cobble were being spawned at spawn which caused the lag. JT fixed it.
