Hey! It's been a while, not here for long. Just came to say a few words. Historically there have been quite a few Canadians playing on the server (Including myself for a long time) and the head admin himself is Canadian (Hi Intelli). This message is for the Canadians that still play on Minerealm. I'm just here to remind you that the final day to vote in our federal election is next Monday. The advanced polls are on right now, the last day being tomorrow. So, for any of you Canadian citizens of legal voting age that play on Minerealm, get out and vote! I don't care who you vote for, just vote! And for any underage Canadian citizens that play on Minerealm, get involved with politics in any way you can! It literally determines the future of your country and, by extension, parts of your own future. Exercise your democratic rights! This is possibly the most important election in recent Canadian history! Be a part of it.

In our 2011 election the turnout was around 60%.

Well, to be fair to us, I'd rather people not vote than vote for a random person because they have to vote but don't know anything about the candidates.

Do I want to vote yes, can I vote no, I will be sitting here waiting for the results to come in , frowning because of the stupidity of elections Canada and their inability to figure out where I actually live, and not google or yahoo map it , since neither of them show where I actually live. So thank you elections Canada for making it almost impossible for me to vote.

The reasons for this are as follows, I do not drive, I either use the bus or my friends to drive me to and from work. Elections Canada sent the voters card to my parents and not to myself, apparently I do not exist. Their cards tell them to vote in a town that is two towns over from us, when it is still in the same township it is really hard for all three of us to travel to it, and my parents have a car. All three of us work that day, if I was allowed to vote in the town that is actually part of the voters area and not two towns over I could go into town in the morning by taxi , and back to my house, this other town is too far for myself to take the taxi , and the bus only comes once every 2 hours, making it almost impossible for me to be able to vote before work.
My parents are equally frustrated , they might not be able to make it to the station to vote, because of work either. I would like to point out that 30,000 Canadians were sent cards that told them to go to the wrong poll stations. And even more of us are being told to vote in areas that are inaccessible to us.

I know the political platforms for each party , and I have made my choice based on my ideals for the country I live in and no one else. So not only would I love to be a voter, I an an informed voter and that makes a difference.

That's not being fair, it's called laziness.
It could also be looked on as the wrong person /party winning because people can't be bothered to vote.
