1) A person can have a claim to land whether they own it or not- were there any signs or other markings claiming it as his?
2) He claims you tried to break his crops with water- that is breaking his property and is considered
griefing. Maybe once we get clearer statements from both parties, a better judgement may be made.
3) Did he TELL you he would destroy your houses, or are you assuming that from what he DID say?
4) It is perfectly legal to build on public land if there are no signs claiming it to be owned by a player/pre-existing builds.
5) Killing during the Mist is completely legal, so you cannot be banned for it (unless hacking/glitching).
6) He does not have the ability to ban. He may make a request for you to be banned or ask staff, but those require staff to recognize it as a legitimate reason.
Wait for staff to give you an official response, but I thought I would help answer some things from your statement you seemed confused about, and ask some questions about your statements. Also, I just came to try to tell you to maybe work a little harder on the posts, because it makes the staff's job a lot easier and may get you unbanned sooner. Oh, and it's normally best to try not to make a post right after another one of yours, because double posting is sort of froned upon. For some amount of time after you make a post, you can look at it and click the little 'edit' button in the top right corner to change it/add more. Good luck,
