I live in Southern California, I only see snow if I drive 30 miles up the mountains to see it and only every 10 years when we actually get a storm.

Magnetic poles are weakening along with the ozone. Weaker magnetic poles/ozone layer=More sun flares coming through=More crazy weather.

We can all sit here for hours and argue weather global warming is true. I personally think it has to do with humans pollution and crappy way it treats the enviro net. Who cares ( for now) all i no is every winters getting colder and colder and the summer is getting hotter and hotter.

That's what global warming is, basically. There's complex stuff in the middle (like Tepig said, ozone) but the basic idea is that our weather will get really unstable and crazy.

Basically what I gathered from this is people are getting very mild winters and have suddenly ceased to function. XD
Hell.. most storms we have exceed 1ft- a few feet and we're up and running almost always. >.> If not by the next day. Then again we tend to throw salt down and have plows running through the night.

What I'd give for New England to declare 1-3 inches of snow an emergency, we'd have been out of school all winter back in high school. :3
I've decided that everyone in Alabama needs a quick trip to Canada, or even Colorado if you're not feeling like crossing the border.

By the time they get back they'll be able to handle it. Assuming they survive the encounter and don't faint at the sight of ice.
