Is FFXIV even worth the subscription? I was very tempted for a little while, but the game just looked like another MMO with the same formula. I could just play GW2 for free.... Can you convince me its worth? Then maybe I'll try it for a month or two.

I used to be hardcore (like really, really hardcore...) WoW player, and when I saw the graphics in FFXIV, I was pretty amazed. I'd figure why not give it a shot since I usually enjoy FF games.
I have a pretty decent computer system going and the graphics were indeed amazing. Much better graphics than any MMO I've played.
But when I got into the gameplay and all, I didn't get past level 20. I couldn't get sucked into the game. I felt like you didn't learn new moves quick enough and your attacks were just repetitive. There were some interesting features that I liked. However, it wasn't my cup of tea.
