Hmm this would be really cool actually, considering that trusted builders would be allowed and there would be no real threat of griefers. Plus the limited player size would prob reduce lag and then mobs would actually be harmful (unlike the ones on the current server who move at "lag pace").

I wonder if i'm elite enough yet, :3 I

Am I the only one who thinks this is really, a kinda dumb idea? Doesn't it cost money to maintain a server? Instead of creating servers right and left, why don't we put the current money we have into making the survival server better.

Mastertegm you said that you almost got bored to death, and almost left minerealm. What could put into survival now, that would make it better?

Not trying to be a Minerealm Priority Accountant here, but really.

They're trying to separate the new, noobish players from the players that actually want to play without all the whining and complaining and griefing and hacking and such. They just don't want all the noobs in the same world as them. It's not so much about how the server is set up. And yes, it does cost a lot. An especially huge amount now that this would be the 3rd 24/7 server he has. That's why people donate.

I would hate to see a lot of the more desirable players leave survival for vanilla.
But what exactly would qualify someone for the vanilla server?

I would almost prefer you take the energy from that and make a more selective system for survival.
I know you hate whitelists - but everything people were just excited for on vanilla is still possible on survival with some sort of selective system - even if it's just much stricter rules. (ie ban players that log on and ask for care packages and time day because they are most likely undesirable)
