This is the first case I have heard of anyone confusing normal diamonds with diamond ore. 08 shouldn't be expected to lose out on a moderate sum of credits because of the seller's confusion. If a seller improperly lists items in their auction, and even afterward in-game states that they will sell diamond ore, but fails to back it up, they should take the full loss for their error, not the buyer. The seller gave 08 every reason to believe that he would receive diamond ore, up until the point where he gave him diamonds instead. 08 never said he would buy diamonds, and shouldn't be expected to lose money over being given the wrong item. The picture shouldn't really matter - if someone clearly tells me they will sell me diamond ore, I should receive diamond ore. I shouldn't have to worry about whether the seller is confused or not.

This is just my opinion. :)
sounds like ur buddy buddy with him but ingame i didnt say i have diamond ore i said i have 131 diamonds 1 of the images should show me saying diamonds and not ore also i normaly call ore just the mined version and blocks, well blocks i didnt realise where i had gone wrong but like ive said 50 times today but if your saying i should lose out on 3k credits because im a less experience mc player then ur opinion means nothing to me.

1. i had picture to show i was selling Diamonds not the ore which i know the difference
2. i said ingame i have 131 diamonds when he asking if im selling i cant remember if he asked me if im selling ore as at the time it woulda ment same thing to me and well i just dont remember
3. he sent someone else to collect it for him if he came himself this would have never happened.
4. my first time using forums to sell stuff and it all went to sht in under 15 minutes...

now tell me why i should be put down when we are clearly both at fault.
I logged on just to get the diamond ore. I msgd you to ask if you were selling diamond ore and you said yes. There was at no point that you said you were selling diamonds. The picture doesn't mean anything if I personally asked you in game if you were selling diamond ore. The picture doesn't even have diamonds but diamond blocks, which you were selling for 1k each. The fine print however explained much more then the picture by which I went by. I would like staffs opinion on this.

we split loss half way or u can go do ur self over cause your just being a right *edit* now and everyone who reads forums would most likly agree

we were both in the wrong the fact u think u have done nothing wrong makes u an idiot im not gonna bother with this anymore ill let admin make final call because pritty much everyone who has commented "besides your friends" have said we are both in wrong and we should both be even at fault/punished credit loss.

admit ur mistakes both parties are at fault.

If you aren't allowed to say certain words in game, what makes you think you can say them on the forums? You have been warned.

First off, this wasn't a auction it was a sale so auction rules don't apply.

Second both are at fault, 08 was mislead into believe he was getting diamond ore which wasn't listed in the picture. But you also could of simply avoided the transaction by asking to see the item prior to giving him the credits(which staff have told players several times to do to avoid such conflicts.)

In short since I don't feel like typing out examples of why you are both wrong I'll simply use this quote

This does not remove the blame from Pr0sanity, but I don't see how he should be penalized 3.3k for not knowing what the difference between dia ore and diamonds is, and 08's failure to look at the picture and ask about the inconsistency between text and pictures. Then again, 08 doesn't deserve it either, and I probably wouldn't ask about whether or not the diamonds are diamond ores if I had the money to bid.

I'd say Pr0sanity should just give 08 15720 credits (not pay tax), and so he loses 1572 credits to tax and 08 loses 1572 credits to tax. 08 returns the diamonds and we're all fair and square, albeit a bit less rich.

It's the fairest arrangement possible, and I daresay seeing as the fault is in both the buyer and seller, equal penalization is the best course possible, with no disadvantage for either side. I understand I'm not an admin, but it's what I'd imagine the verdict to come to, seeing as everyone here is concerned about fairness and both have made mistakes.

PS: Admins might take a while to concern themselves with a petty trade argument that is vaguely labeled 'Help Required', so I suggest you try to find one in-game rather than on forums, with 08 present as well.
I find you both at fault and that's the best solution to resolve this issue. I know it's probably not what you both want but it's the simplest. Staff shouldn't have gotten involved in something so minor.

Next time Pr0sanity realize when a seller makes a mistake it's generally their fault and they have to make up for it. Only reason I'm making you both to blame is because of how this was handle and how easily avoidable it could of become and both of you wouldn't be arguing.

Again I will state it wasn't a auction and isn't treated as such just so everyone realizes that. He clearly marked it as a sale and had no end date which was required.
