We already have "certain players" that have the power to kick, as well as ban. They're called staff members. If we need more people with that power, then we should get more staff members - not create a new separate rank for this one specific purpose.

This would be a great tool to use when no admins are online. I think maybe only vets should be able to kick since they have known the server for a long time so you won't just have new people randomly trying to kick people.

Well, this suggestion isn't for votekicking. However, I do think a properly implemented votekicking feature could maybe work.

For this idea though, no. If someone is trusted enough to have kicking powers, then they may as well just be staff.
