Origin of the idea:
With the recent increase in griefing/looting a lot of new players who joined the server lost items and may never return, this is something we don't want to see, we want new players to stick around integrate with the veterans and make this a wholesome community.
Suggestion:
Increase the amount of credits earned for placing/destroying blocks for new players until they have earned their first 10,000 credits, this doesn't mean they can keep spending them so they don't reach 10,000 and benefit from the increased amount of credits earned, it totals up their credits earned not the amount they actually have at any given time. A possible increase from 0.5 per block placed/destroyed to 1, 1.5 or 2 cr per block destroyed, so that they can reach 10,000 quicker to buy a realm and protect any items they have. They will also have a piece of land that they can call their own which should encourage them to stay.
You may argue that it is already easy enough to gain 10,000 credits, I agree for us who have played here a while it is, we have better tools to mine with etc.
I have seen in the past new players who have joined asking about realms and how much it costs and 10,000 at 0.5 cr per block to them seems like a near impossible challenge and they have left. We don't want this to happen we want people to stay to help the server grow.
Pros:
Potentially increase the amount of new players that stay on the server
More public land will be bought and potentially "cleaned up" (less dirt huts)
Fresh meat for VV
Potentially more donations
Cons:
People with alts could abuse it to make money faster then give it to their main account (although this wont have a huge impact on the game unless someone has like 100 alts)
TL;DR
More credits per block for noobies
If you have any for or against arguments please comment.
Thanks
