Well, here I am in the ban thread again, and it isn't to comment on other people's appeals this time.
Clarifying in advance, this appeal is solely for a lift on the IP/Permanent Forum Ban.
I'll be straightforward. I was recently permanently forum banned for a signature I added to my profile that was.. provocative, would be the best word. It was intended as a joke, and I'd planned to remove it within a day or two. Of course, that didn't go over well, and I won't lie and say the ban was entirely unexpected. At the same time, I meant no offense, and the signature did not contain profanity. It did not contain lewd images, and was not a link to either.
I would, however, like to apologize for the tactless way I used it. While it was intended as a joke, it wasn't taken as one, and it's perception that matters here. I'm sorry that it offended, and that I chose such a crude, albeit joking, gesture.
I am aware that an appeal is supposed to be for both a forum account and the in-game account. However, I have almost no intention of being on the game, or a method to be on regularly. Appealing the in-game ban I granted myself when I left would be pointless and a waste of time for the moment, and I am willing to undergo a seperate appeal for it when I am both interested in and able to play regularly.
dlgn, I'd like to personally clarify something. My comments saying that I liked your thread were, and still are, genuine. The writing style reminds me of a book that I have read multiple times, that I like rather a lot. If I hadn't liked your Intelli Saga thread, I would have ignored it or outright said so. I'm not in the habit of being sarcastic in text, unless I make it glaringly and painfully obvious. I am also not in the habit of praising something if I think it's worthless.
I'd like to thank you in advance for observing basic forum etiquette and reading my appeal.
