Trapped chests will basically be realm user-only buttons once 1.5 hits. Only people with build access can open the chest, and when the chest opens, it emits a redstone signal.

I think a simular request has been accepted. In the next update buttons will cost credits for others who push them. You should just protect your farm now until then
