What it says. You may have seen the suggestion to wipe the entire map. While I find that ridiculous (no offense), I agree that we need some new things occasionally. As the wilderness isn't a good place for anything permanent, we could use it to bring in new items. Alternately, we could wipe it every two or three months.

On the other hand, the wilderness isn't the best place to have beautiful new land to appreciate. Perhaps we could have a separate area that we wipe every few months or after every major update? This isn't part of the suggestion, but I find it to be an interesting idea. If enough people prefer this idea, I'll make a new suggestion.

I understand the problems, but I only think it should be wiped very occasionally. As for the bases people spend time on there, they can be demolished anyway. As it's impossible to bring items into the wilderness, it wouldn't cause things to disappear. I know people would be disappointed if their bases are destroyed; however, building in the wilderness is a dangerous matter, and I think we have to wipe something, albeit rarely, to prevent economic stagnation and to allow people to fully experience the features of new updates.

Before the whip, go to your base, and clear it out. Bases are t hard to make, considering I get raided Alot in pvp servers, there rather easy

Not voting on the proposal. While I think it's a pretty good idea (considering that one reason for the initial creation of the wilderness was to introduce some new content), there's too much room for ambiguity in deciding what constitutes a "major" update.

Also, not all major updates would have equal need for a reset of the wilderness. For example, say Mojang released an update with a ton of new crafting recipes. This would probably be considered a "major" change to the game, but if all the new items could be created from existing items in MR, there would be no particular need to change the wilderness in order to bring the new items to MR. By contrast, an argument could be made that a relatively minor update that introduces a new natural resource (say, another new type of tree) would need a wilderness reset in order to introduce the new content to MR.

In short, I'd prefer that this be decided on a case-by-case basis.

The wilderness was introduced as a place to acquire new materials, and that is how it should stay. When new things are introduced, the wilderness should indeed wipe to accompany this.

When the wilderness was added, I assumed that this was the way it would be anyway. Huge wilderness bases seems stupid to me.
