I am suggesting the nether to be extended north just like the map was for when the wilderness was implemented. With the nether extended it would help increase mob spawning like the wither skeletons. But I'm not asking for the over world to change with this extension maybe you could have it to were you can't build portals on that side of the nether so it won't mess up the way you have it to were its the wilderness. It would be great to have some untouched areas in the nether for a while.

Wither Skeletons already spawn. You just have to know where to look. They are rare for a reason. I vote no.

Whenever the wilderness requires a reset, I'd much rather have the current wilderness be scrapped and the new wilderness be its own world. It's just more.. symmetrical. It'd make sense since nether portals could cause problems.
