When I joined Minerealm, I spawned in Abyssus. The small, nice community was welcoming, which is one of the main reasons why I stayed on Minerealm all together. I never moved, and I still live there now. Unfortunately, the area has become so griefed it is almost uninhabitable. Plus, is has effectively become a ghost town
What I propose is that we bring back countries. What that would mean is that there would be multiple spawn points (which you can 'join' like before) and new players would be randomly distributed around the specific spawns.
I imagine many former countries are also heavily griefed, so I a proposing between two different options: bring back old countries, or establish new ones.
Pros:
Newbies are distributed around the map, and these countries may be more inviting, which could boost our retaining rate with new players.
More possibilities when buying realms- be far away from spawn but in a nice community.
Cons:
Slightly (only a tiny bit) less vanilla.
May be a little more complicated for newbies initially.

Always right.
