A quick question: If the nether is to be wiped, would some of the nether fortresses be protected, for the sake of spawning wither skeles?

Probably not, it would just generate new ones.

Yeah but I mean like once they're new ones, are you going to protect a few so they don't all end up griefed like they are now? But I suppose since they still spawn now we'd still be able to make wither pads.

I'm not sure if the nether fortress even has to be there. I think it just had to have been there, but I don't know that's why I want the facts. I think it just had to be naturally spawned there, meaning even if removed it still spawns withers.
I will research it again later to try to find out how it all works

You've wasted a good amount of brick on my wither pads but oh well they will spawn on any type of block and it will make no difference in the area but I like the look hope nobody adds some stupid house there again to my area because you think light levels aren't low enough and you may only extend the pads nothing else

Took me and shaddow a while to get the pads correctly enough to were they spawn to not build Mayer's over layers unless its separated by a block space of 3 or more because the mobs won't have room to spawn in the area unless using half slabs

I wasted absolutely nothing, all I did was reolocate the griefed areas to the pads, no one else has touched those blocks in a long time and I was sick of walking through and looking at it.

Slightly off-topic, but where are the spawning pads? I've never been able to find them. If anyone knows teh coords, I'd be most grateful.
