I've noticed there have been quite a few chat arguments and ban requests over fighting on the red carpet lately. I'm not very much into PvP combat myself, but I never enjoy being forced to watch other player's petty arguments over it. Because of this, I'd like to suggest that instead of having a rule in place about fighting on the red carpet, PvP is simply disabled for a player when they respawn. This would effectively remove the last PvP rule in place (other than the snowball one, which Intelli has said he will replace by coding in the future) and nullify any possible future arguments over PvP.

This is an excellent idea. Since the whole point of the rule was to prevent people from repeatedly getting killed after respawning, this would solve that problem without causing the little arguments over who hit whom first.

Why have an un-enforcable rule (no spam killing at spawn), when you could just solve the problem with 1 line of code.

i got banned for the exact same thing, pvp on the red carpet, although i would inforce the rule, pvp got out of hand. good thinking, we should not just have it when we spawn, on the red carpet itself, unless thats what you meant. -mc

Shut up, you were banned for being stupid and breaking the most screamed about rule on the server.

Good idea is good. Would eliminate a ton of drama over PvP, would eliminate roughly 25% of the Ban requests that pop up each week, and would save Staff the trouble of dealing with the assciated crap that comes along with it. +1

Because, IIRC, there's a sign near spawn that says that. Interesting idea, though.
