Many of you may not realize this, but the Spawn City realm is just like any other realm. It grows when we build on it, and it protects us from PvP and creepers.

Yesterday I dumped thousands of blocks of dirt to fill in valleys and cliffs, and started construction of a new public wheat farm. The Spawn City realm grew from 40x40 to 100x100.

I'm starting an effort to encourage others to do the same. Fill in dirt to make it all the same level, build roads, even houses or shops. We started seeing a lot of spawn area building in the last 2 weeks of the old world. Lets bring that back and make Spawn City not only a place to spawn, but a place to thrive!

An even better solution would be if Spawn City would be a special realm of its own, and if every player was automatically also a member of spawn city, in addition to the regular realms.

Effectively we are all members of spawn city. Global chat and spawn city chat would be the same. Spawn city warp and /spawn are the same thing. Everyone has all permissions in spawn city. Its already like everyone is a member.

Yes it does. You do not need to be a member of spawn city in order to grow it.

Spawn city is now 110x110.

I am NOT a "member" of Spawn City, I just build there.

I have my own realm elsewhere.

Additionally, the public wheat farm is now complete. Although the same issue plaguing the furnaces seems to be causing the wheat to grow extremely slow as well. I hope Intelli fixes this dreadful issue soon.

With being private, and having visitors disabled, typing /spawn would take you to spawn, and then once you start moving, it would move you to the edge outside of "Spawn City".

I don't think spawn city can be private since there is no leader. The only way it could go private would be for intelli to set it.

I have to say I'm VERY impressed with all the team effort going into rebuilding Spawn city, it looks awesome!
