Sounds like alot of work has gone into this and i think it will be good.

However,

It would be awsome to protect builds in public realms, If I could flag 2 or 3 pubic realms out of the wipe this would make it perfect

What if people purchase realms with builds they feel are worth saving, then sell them back to the server after the wipe?

Some players have more "liquid assets" than others. If you can't afford to buy the realm yourself, but know of a build that is really worth saving, you could post the coords (and maybe a screenshot?) here and perhaps someone with the available credits will buy it at least temporarily? (It would be nice if someone does buy it if they could post that here too so that another well intentioned player doesn't make a long trek to buy it for nothing)

This is a community thing not a "server suggestion" per se, but staff if there is anything against the rules in this idea, please let me know.

Not true. My brother lives in a giant base vacated by CDISME, and it's truly magnificent, but he only owns one part of it. I plan to make a few credits to help him keep it.

I'd say around 98% of builds on bought are trashy and need to be wiped anyways. If someone doesn't have the credits to buy it, it is probably trashy... The point of the wipe is to update terrain but to be honest 90% of minerealms builds are ugly, and I could do away with almost all the builds on the map. There are some good ones here or there but all in all they are not worth saving.

If there are cool builds on public realms, please post pics of them on forum with coords so that people can buy them if they want to preserve them. I know I will

I have a moat + wall around a large city my self and 1 other rebuilt after it was abandoned roughly 6x6 realms long inside

The moat/wall is roughly 6-7 each side so 6 x 4 =24+ i purchased just over 1/2 of the surrounding wall & moat not the most interesting realms or great build,

Basicly if all 10ish realms in public land mined out from hills mountains, turn from wall and moat back
into a mountain the currently finished build would look like a girefed build

I guess an unknown amount of other builds will break 2 around the map

i also built a road from stone and stone slabs which spans about 50 public realms

It might be fun to re mine the realms, saving a few of these realms would be awsome but not the end of the world if its not possible

This idea has terrific intentions, but it'd really only end up benefiting a few people. I know there are places on the map that could do with preserving, but chances are if they're not bought they're more than likely not of use to preserve anyway.

I agree. It's time to update the map, throw out all the older unused builds and make room for some great new land. I do understand that it'd benefit a few people, and wouldn't be entirely useless. But I think giving people the possibility to preserve public land will leave us with quite a lot of random plots that are eye sores as well. (Which is not what we want)

Important note: I know some new(er) players were concerned about their builds/items being wiped. And there are some players who aren't new that want their realms wiped but don't know what to do with their stuff.
For those players who
A. Are unable to purchase their realms by the time of the wipe.
B. Want their realm wiped but their items kept.
Or C. Random other excuse to hold their items somewhere for the wipe/short amount of time.
I'll be holding storage areas on two of my spawn realms for people to hold their items. Completely free of charge. The items will be safe and monitored by me, everyone will get their own area/floor c: I'll also personally help you move the items if there is a lot. So if you know anyone who needs to put their stuff in a safe area, refer them to me and we can get started moving items to one of the storage rooms. Even if you are a regular/veteran don't be afraid to ask I won't judge.
(I also may be offering loans to players who just need that little bit more to preserve their realms.)
