I'm sorry to "hijack the thread" but I am a (somewhat) good architect and I saw an irresistible opportunity here.
I like the idea of Dis. But I want to expand on it.

I kinda re-went over the thing, and even though Silsu's keeping me on the back burner, I'm piling more stuff onto that back burner.

After seeing the PVP things, I think the higher PVP people should be in the law enforcement section of the city. Cannabin0l could be really useful here if a street brawl broke out, you know what I mean? The true PVP'ers can make really good "club bouncers" in this case because of their skills at PVP. Plus Canna is in the nether SO OFTEN, that Dis would be one of his top points so that he can catch people around the city and pluck them off. NTC and other Nether factions would be centered around Dis due to the amount of activity for trade, PVP, socializing, shopping, etc. Dis could be like a "shopping mall" because with the different stalls, people can buy things in the Nether, where the activity is more tense due to the constant possibility of being sworded by Canna or Kress.

It looks like the aura of acivity around Dis has died down. Let's re-energize it. I mean, has ANYONE done ANYTHING to TRY and START construction/planning/engineering?

If Dis is implemented by Intelli (Since both votes ended above 50%) NTC would be fine with Enforcing Laws. I would anyways.

There is absolutely nothing stopping you from building a city independent from staff involvement in the nether. Even creations in the nether are protected against griefing. As for Intelli being the monarch, I think he has enough on his plate with running the server.

I will state in this thread as I did the other. Build the city now, it will be protected by anit-griefing rules of the server. If found to be a stable and good town then you should propose the idea of protecting the town under a realm like system.

The mods would have no spare time to do anything else other than rollbacks, EVEN if they were ALL in the city at once. If it tries to get approved as a realm building, it cannot count griefing as a "con" or a reason why it SHOULDN'T be realmitized. In fact, griefing should BE a reason to realmitize it (to relieve the mods of their headaches).

Also, I want the idea the the factions around the city ARE allowed to grief the other faction platforms, and the other faction platforms ONLY. (So faction A can grief the other factions, and vice versa.) This creates a nice sense of competition between them, so to keep the "rivaling factions" aspect enhanced. Rollbacks should be implemented, but bans shouldn't, because, as I said, a sense of rivalry is always fun. (e.g. Ceteri-NTC and NTC-Trinity).

PvP will be a day-to-day thing, because of obvious reasons. The NTC will probably be patrolling the streets and a) break up large and unexpected(and uncalled for) fights, and b) beat up griefers, then get a mod to come repair grief.

I am banned right now, but if I weren't, I would be onto this city immediately. It is a really good idea and would give lots of people another city to have fun in.
