Not a sphere, but I'm currently working on hollowing out 140 block wide cavern under my realms. Currently 1/3 of the way to bedrock.

It shall be named, THeUnderdome!

OK so it'll look nicer when you have the resources... that's all fine and well, but why not just wait until you do have the necessary materials and build it then?

I once built a large tower out of cobble, and then I decided to make it look nicer by using stone brick instead. It was a serious pain in the neck to deconstruct the entire thing and rebuild it with a different material. And this is clearly a much more ambitious project than a single tower. I think you ought to focus on getting materials first, and build the thing afterwards--you'll save a lot of time in the long run.

im not going to deconstruct im going to coat the outside, and im building it now to get the credits to buy more relams and to get rid of all the cobble i have lying around its 30000+ blocks
i think im going to coat it in logs and planks maybe some wool in strips i think it will look nice

i dont know what im going to do with the inside yet though
