What if we made something around spawn where pvp'ers get the SAME equipment, maybe make different sets of equipment so you can still choose with what you both fight. Then rich vs poor isn't a problem anymore. Its just pure skill then.

Or does this exist already? I never really walk around spawn...

To be honest i believe that enchantments have made pvp no longer fun i think it would be amazing if there were no pvp enchantments on minerealm anymore that way it is fun and there is not as much flaming but that is just my idea

Even of pvp enchantments were disabled there would still be flaming and arguments etc.
That's just the nature of minecraft pvp and how it will pretty much always be.

I just think that it would reduce it because the cost if just diamond isn't that bad. Also it is more fun to pvp that way with the new god apples and stuff it has just become who is more rich

That's just the nature of minecraft pvp and how it will pretty much always be.

I believe the point guige is tryng to make, ratta, is that PVP gear didn't used to hav so much diversity, and because the best possible gear was fairly easy to get, it didn't really matter how rich you were unless you were abysmally poor. Nowadays, however, the best possible gear is something like 18K, not including potions or god apples, making it an unequal contest for those who can't afford to shell out that much on a whim. Also, it's very irritating to lose insanely expensive gear. PVP doesn't require much skill in Minecraft currently, but it requires some. However, the addition of enchanting, potions, and enchanted golden apples made that some moot.

no thats not what i meant, just a redstone thingy that dispenses the things, ofcourse these could be taken...

I recall that there was once an Arcane PVP tournament where the competitors were given identical gear. What gear they were given changed depending on what stage of the tournament they were on, but it was always the same for both competitors. I lost to Meepers twice in a row but I like to think I've improved since then.
