I don't think his position as head of Arcane should be a matter of concern--despite a bit of banter between him and Imperial about who has the better spawner, I think (hope?) that won't color his judgements as mod.

BridgeDweller is taking over as the leader of Arcane - I'l still be a member of course.

Of course, I would not consider for a second using mod powers to give any kind of advantage to Arcane. To those who don't know, I consider myself pretty good friends with Imperial. This shouldn't bring up any problems.

To those who want my application posted, I think Intelli should speak on that matter, really - After all it was him who asked for it to be sent to him privately in the first place.

I do hope I'm not going to create to much attention and controversy over myself, that would not be fun.

Understandable to defer to Intelli if he was the one that requested that it be kept private. Can you at least comment, though, on whether you met the age requirement, and if not, why an exception was made?

Wow, ok. Agents' post has changed my mind. If Intelli asked you to send the app privately, there must be a reason. You have shown yourself worthy to the person it counts.

My guess would be that Agent presented himself as a prime candidate. He is mature, helpful, and an active member of the community. However, because of his age, Intelli wished his app be made private. If I would have known that Intelli requested this, my post (and subsequently all this argument) would not be here.

My stance remains the same, however; I believe there are more deserving candidates than Agent. If this hurts my future chance to be a mod, so be it.

Im sure Flanny, Lineant and many others who were around at the beginning of Minerealm 3.0 will remember when Rocky_Blast and jtcanon were made mods, despite outcry from the community. Surely no one suspected they would use their powers to benefit their faction. Or at the minimum be biased is favor of their friends in that faction. But then it happened.

Agent might say he is different but everyone would claim the same thing.

Being a moderator is supposed to mean you get more involved with the community and it's various happenings, not hide away from them, is what I think people mean. To me, it didn't really feel like we were let in on him applying, so it came as kind of a shock that he was hired out of the blue.

Meh, agent always seems immature when I see him in chat....but i really could care less if he's modded or not.
