Yes I was wondering why this happened as well, The entire city has been kept the same even though all 36 realm's we're public before the wipe. Before i went to Japan i moved 45% of our rare stuff needed for the new frogtown to another realm so that when it went public and our tower / everything else was raided was written off.

At this current state I've had 4 people ask to take block's from it for use of they're own. and I've noticed the South(or east?) wall is completely gone, and a subway has been added to the far left area of the first 4 realm's in the old city. as well as a reset of land right by the old supply tower and 23% of the block's from the South wall have been changed/altered. As well as multiple random chest's have different logs then mine or they are missing thing's like dirt and cobble, as well as I left 36 slab's and 6 pieces of lapis. Those are gone also :d

I do miss the old frog town though.

I would like to see Old Frogtown renovated.. to make it look like old times, and living only 100/150 blocks away from it, I would love to restore it, and fix up the walls, as gahy already mentioned. We disscussed this earlier and decided to check that no one would object to us doing this. If no one objects, then we'll probably start work soon, and make a thread asking for History/information about the past of the Town, for a History board.
Thanks, AlM, gahy, and lollingtroll.

When a bunch of realms went public at once in the beginning of the implementation of the whole auto realm disband system a lot of them kept their MOTD's and its possible that whatever made them keep their MOTD's also caused the wipe script to recognize them as being owned and therefor not eligible for wiping.

Old frogtown happens to be very likely the coolest looking instance of this glitch (IMO ruins are fun to explore). It would not take much work to blend the terrain to the surrounding area, however restoration of the buildings would be very difficult due to the extent of the salvage operations, the blocks placed and removed that could be considered grief can probably be totally fixed by 3 people in 1 hour or 1 dedicated person in a couple hours (most time would be spent actually finding/getting to the grief or removing scaffolding used to get to repair site). I think it would be cool for someone to rebuild it.

One of the other problem's also is, At one time when we had the old frogtown up, I had block diagram's of all buildings made so that griefing and theft was impossible, Because it allowed me to rebuild thing's if needed to the exact format, But since the new frogtown has been built, I've made modifications and altered the excel format that i used for new ones. making the old one's no longer available for restoration. As well as the homes in the old frogtown and the (one) before this old frogtown which I was never a part of.. are no longer able to be restored by diagram, only memory.. It's hard to say unfortunately.

A group of people could just restore the structures that are lightly damaged and remove the ones that are griefed beyond recognition or repair. Leave the main structures (Walls, towers, etc) and rebuild new houses in it and start the town up again :)

That would work nicely, but what would be done about the wall that was removed? It was a pretty large structure that would be very time consuming to create, so perhaps it would be preferable to just build some towers at the current ends of the wall and allow the rest of that side to remain open to the environment?

Well, someone built it the first time around.. So surely it wont be too hard to rebuild it. I must state though, I have yet to see the complete dimensions for it... So I'll check when I'm in game.

EDIT: I've just been over there, and discovered that a guy named 'cybertrench' owns a realm along the outskirts, but inside the Walls... That kinda ballsed up my plans. Great.

One of the West wall tower's is gone, It takes about 3000 Glass to recreate and less then a chest of cobble. as well.
