Cobble isn't crappy. It's pretty the best block in the game, Cause without it.. you can't alter it and change it into slab's or stone, or stone bricks, etc. Cobble is my favourite block for numerous reasons :x

I visited and it's very nice. Good looking castle walls, all nice flat land, and it's in a really good biome with some mountains in the distance, etc.

I may apply but I'm not the best builder :\
