But honestly, the only reason I PvP'd was because I came from an "anarchy" server. If I built, it would be destroyed by anyone. I lived underground with Woopoo, and be basically just PvP'd on the server.

But MineRealm wasn't meant for PvP. Me, and quite a few others would fight, but this server was more of somewhere to build, and talk to others. That slipped my mind quite a few times, and quite honestly, it would probably be better if PvP was disabled. I mean, it brought anger, and made people upset. This is not a PvP server, and don't ever let yourself think it is one.

Player verses player mode is a strange aspect in Minecraft, especially in Minerealm. Due to the nature of the economy, a full, un-enchanted diamond kit will cost you 2.6k. Add enchantments to this and it will cost a heck of a lot more, approaching 10k or more.

To have that taken away from you in a 30 second fight can be quite frustrating. This leads to anger, cheating and other methods and eventually get the best of most PVP-ers, leading to their banishment.

Why has PVP effectively halted on this server? Partly because of the enchantments, meaning the rich can afford it while the poor can't (not too dissimilar to the way law works). It may also just be a phase, and in a month's time a wave of new PVP will sweep across the server. I just don't bet on it.

First, all the good PVPers got banned, and second, enchanting was added, making PVP more a matter of being rich enough to afford ridiculously effective armor (except for the insanely good PVPers like Frosty and Agent, both of whom are banned).
