Look, as one of the original founders, I considered Abyssus dead the day it became a spawn realm.
We watches in hopeless awe as the realms we had longed to buy we're swallowed whole by the public. From that day forth, very little happened in the official Abyssus realms. Then came the 4.0 wipe, which only helped annhialate it. Countries gave us hope, we planned to have some control over the realms we rightfully owned, but even that was redacted after only days. We just sat and watched the surrounding land turn to ruin.
Us founders moved out, perhaps in hope that what was wrong would fix itself, perhaps knowing that everything we wanted was lost.
We began construction on Sub Aurora, but even today very little work is done on that. Of the many founders, my friends in real life, many have left minerealm altogether. Those whom remain work solely on Sub Aurora.
We would return to Abyssus, but it is beyond the point of repair. Some people try and try, but you cannot comprehend what our vision was for that place. For us, it was simply easier to start over. Yet minerealm itself has become little more than a creative server to us. James potter and I spend our spare time creating new things in Sub Aurora, but previously famous people such as iBiS have gone on an.... Extended vacation. Minerealm just doesn't have a tight Australian player base for us.
The last time I was in abyssus was when I made the tour video, perhaps that will be one of the last.
Abyssus is a ghost town.
