Hello MineRealm people, it's that time of year again where we engage in our mystery gift giving Secret Santa event.
Regulars should know the drill mostly by now but here's the details anyway.
As always either submit your name on the forums or PM me on discord that you'd like to participate. I'll be taking names from now till December 22nd and after that people will receive their assigned people from me via discord or in-game which will be chosen via random number generator. People are again encouraged to leave their present near the spawn Christmas Tree and contact me if you don't have perms. Giving your gift any time from Christmas Eve (PST) onward is fine. People have different time zones and active hours so don't feel too much pressure to be online Christmas eve or Christmas day, but try to give it before New Years.
People may or mat not need something, ask questions, and be creative with your presents. The most memorable presents don't have to be the most expensive! In fact I wouldn't encourage people to dump a lot of their rares in a gift if they can't spare them. Just something that shows you gave careful consideration.
I also would hope that no one who participates forgets that they entered. It has happened, and although its understandable during this hectic time of year it is something I have to plan for. If you do not receive a gift let me know.
If you've never been to Christmas Town, which I may also refer to as Winter World because there's a lot of projects out there now! There's a massive ice castle with a mountain backdrop as well as a large custom spruce forest and functioning ski resort. As in, you can actually both go up the ski lift and ski (ice boat) down. The ski lodge too is worth a visit. It's changed a lot since the first year I set up the Christmas village but now it's the center of what's become like a theme world.

Everyone who participates will get a nice map art Christmas card. I might make a new one, but I may opt for working on Winter World primarily this season. But the snowman lantern one is still really nice and I'll gladly give it to anyone who still doesn't have it.
Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable holidays this year and always. MR may be a largely sleepy place but it is an enduring home where we all have a huge time and nostalgia investment. SS event gives us a good way to acknowledge one another as we ring in another year.
