Id rather not track down 22 people on a list of 10000 people... noone in vortex has more then 20 realms so 41 is a lot to disappear

The realm rankings only show the 528 players that own at least 1 realm, it appears. Wouldn't be hard to CTRL+F each of your 22 members. Best you can do is glance at their realm count and judge whether you think they lost/sold some.

i did this recently, no one has more than 18 realms.

Its just something cool to brag about. Rather be in a guild with 4 realms or 160 realms? It was nice knowing what me and roach started was and should be #5

Yeah, we use to only have 4 members and 12 realms total. It's nice seeing how much bigger Vortex has grown to be.
