so, as we have seen with glowstone, obscenely rare blocks tend to become obscenely valuable, so, what do you think people (or you) would be willing to trade for emerald ore.
Emerald ore facts:
1. it can only be obtained with a silk touch pickaxe.
2. in a given world, there are about 40 blocks of diamond ore for every block of emerald ore.
3. it seems to be more common or possibly exclusively exist under certain biomes: extreme hills and jungles. it may exist in other biomes as well, but is shown to not exist under desert or ocean.
4. there is no way to produce it, it is an ore, you cannot trade for it, it is also a place-able solid block.
my instinct is that it might be worth a couple thousand credits per block
