I've seen cocoa beans sell for ~250 each, so that would be ~500cr per 8 cookies. That means the price per cookie (excluding wheat) would be 62.5cr. I guess selling for 16x the cookies are worth is acceptable now.

Note - Please correct me if my cocoa bean prices are out of date.

People are allowed to sell their items at whatever price they wish. Although very unreasonable at times, it is allowed. If you're the seller, you just have to hope someone is foolish enough to purchase the items at an exorbitant rate.

I am well aware that these prices are high, so don't buy them if you're not cash enough, these are limited edition beast league cookies so only people who are beast can afford them buying them is a way of showing just how beast you really are. I will be keeping a record of everyone who buys a cookie on a monument at the beast den as a contributor once it is finished completed as the proceeds will be funding the build
