Can anybody tell me what good having a mined-out realm near /spawn is if you already have a /home location? I've heard arguments that it is convenient to use the spawn realm as a storage realm but I don't see how it would be more convenient than /home.

you can store things at your /spawn realm making it easy access all your goods no matter where you set or reset your /home

also, higher visibility for your builds if that is something that appeals to you

Yes, it would be a second home, but what good would that be if you still have, say, 25 realms nowhere near spawn as your current home? You can't really reassign that unless you like the subway a LOT. You would now have just another storage realm that you can't port to directly. So far that leave just another place place to build something with fairly high visibility, which is tempting, but doesn't seem tempting enough.

And, yes, I'm asking because I'm on the fence.
