Alerts go off when you find a lot of diamonds in a short span of time, of course Mods / Admins are supposed to examine the tunnels to see if they are unlit, random turns to ores, or just blatant xray tunnels.

So, I don't know if it's coded to alert them of how many diamonds vs. how many ores vs. time span obtained in, but Fortune III pickaxes can sometimes Quadruple the amount of diamonds obtained from a single diamond ore. (Being the key to my success, part of the reason I am paying 20k+ for Fortune III pickaxes)

I think mods are alerted if you find any diamonds at all. I found only 4 diamonds and mined one using fortune, and a mod showed up immediately. Either I'm right or fortune send multiple alerts for multiple diamonds.

Completely possible. He's been on for a looong time, so it'd look worse if someone like me or you got that much. My friend Physaux got 2.1 stacks of Diamond Blocks (legitimately, before the xray incident, I saw him get most of them) in about a year.
