For a pick?
Now i don't know a lot about all this enchanting business, but i will assume that 10 diamond picks would be better then that one enchanted pick. If you buy diamonds 100 ea, 300 per pick, 3000 at the most for something that i can only assume would be better anyway.

The big deal about this pick is that you could mine obsidian in about 1.5 seconds, or make a tunnel through stone faster than you can walk down it.

Obsidians should not be mined in 1.5 seconds.
If it does, it's a glitch.

Most things break at "creative mode" speed at IV and V

Most, not all.

Efficiency (Enchantment)
Faster resource gathering while in use (Effect)
V (Max Enchantment Lvl)
+10% mining speed (Per Level Up)
Most things break at "creative mode" speed at IV and V (Comment)

So at Lvl 5 Efficiency, it should be 50% increase in mining speed and if obsidian is mined in 15 seconds with a diamond pick normally. Hmm result isn't 1.5 seconds. :/

Obsidian is mined in 12 seconds. It would be only 6 seconds to mine obsidian.
