First of all, most players sell them at 500rc each, but 600rc isn't bad at all. However, cannabin0l, they are not worth anywhere near 5k. First of all, I assume that nobody else has ever sold one for over 2k. Next, I have also never even seen a sale over 800rc for one. Your point is inadequate here.
Secondly:
Rule #5: No name calling.
Lastly, I don't find them hard to get at all. They aren't the most common thing in the world, but really, ghasts come to me when I'm in the nether, not the other way around. Then, I snipe them down and voila, a ghast tear.

I sold a Ghast Tear via an auction on the forums for 5,000 credits to Darth_Regnier. That being said, SuperCreeper007; Ghast Tears are worth almost 10x what he is selling them for.
@Sliothar: Perhaps if you weren't a mentally handicapped adolescent, you would understand that Potions of Regeneration are amongst the greatest potion in the game, as they add a steady rate of regeneration to your health; botching your odds in pvp.
It probably wouldn't come in handy to a complete idiot like yourself, who fails to give any reason on his doubts of a Ghast Tear's benefit.
Not to mention Jeb's tweet, stating that Ghast Tears are excruciatingly hard to get, so they changed it's use from instant health to Regeneration to make it more profitable, as the benefits of Regeneration are far better then most other potions.
