On what grounds are you withdrawing this bid?
My bad, thought it was auction being closed. Point stands, however. Once a bid is made, it is binding until it is beaten, unless the auctioneer and next player down are willing to let you get away with withdrawing. I would suggest that sellers allow this conditional on your paying the difference.
