The top 3 spawn all at once. The bottom zombie spawner activates when you go down the stairs. By having the spider kill zone at the bottom, it helps the load cycles to maintain monsters in each area more effectively. Its obviously not as perfect as having all 4 spawn at once, but it seems to only really slow down noticeably when there are a lot of people online.
