Right okay if this goes ahead which it seems like it may, if Intelli changes his mind and wipes the whole map (going totally against his word) i will not be building anything anymore like the mansion i made ... i made the mansion because i heard that intelli wont be going ahead with the map wipe and thought the minerealm community would enjoy it, think about the amount of time and effort people like sir_dave88, zulton, cogohst with aquaria and rokkrwolf and stuff will have just wasted... Im hoping for your support guys...

Why would the map need to be wiped?

The next snapshot, and Minecraft 1.2, will automatically convert worlds to the new format.

It wouldn't. The "Anvil" update explicitly mentions a method to convert current maps to the new format.

Edit: To clarify, Silver, when you say you hope for our support, you mean supporting you in opposition to a map wipe (since a map wipe would undo all of big projects people have been working on), right?

Yeah that would be horrible if it were to need a map wipe as I just spent the last 2 and a half months working on my megahouse, which is still far from done.

Intelli, there are people that may be willing to work on 'perfectly' integrating the current map into a new one. There are programs like MCedit and plugins like world edit which can make it a lot easier... but a lot longer than they way you did it last time.

Does anyone really miss a ton of hard work put into Minerealm 2.0 and still wish it hadn't been wiped and replaced?

Never say never...I bet at one point either the map is going to HAVE to be wiped, or it will be broken in some fashion.

If we use the entire map.... Just saying say 50% of realms are purchased and the rest is used as a mining ground type thing, would you just expand the land past the 10k X 10k?
