Hi,

I lost diamonds in trade today. Maybe I am just stupid and was cheated, but it happend twice in two subsequent trades with different people and the opponent side made an honorable impression on me. In the second trade, I put 3 three diamonds in the chest they diasppeared but the guy said he did not get them. I put 3 more (already stupid) and they disappeard. The guy said he saw them but he did not take them and they were gone. Then he wanted his money back. I did not return his money and said I would report to the forum about the incident.

Was I just cheated or did maybe somebody hack his way into the chest? Or was there a bug? The door of the trading room was closed at all time and there were only the two of us in the room. Also the other side seemed trustworthy from their writing and complaints, when they said they did not get it. But maybe I am just naive.

I did the second trade with user dts1328 around Thursday, 29 September, 10:40 p.m. GMT (uk time zone). The other trade was earlier the traders user name started with drunk...

Admins, do you log trades? Maybe you can help

OTHERWISE: How should I react in such a situation? Trust the server was right and just leave, even if the other side said he did not get anything?!?

What were their names? Also, that is a bug,you aren't supposed to be able to go into the chest, so you were cheated, and victim of a bad bug.

Hey, Chris. It seems your diamonds could have been stolen do to a bug of getting into the trade room chests without being in the trade, which Roobean posted about earlier today. http://minerealm.com/community/viewtopi ... =10&t=3449 Also, mods/admins can't log trades, so I like to document my trades with screenshots if I'm trading something valuable. I also never put items in the chests to trade, I simply throw them out of my inventory to the person i'm trading with. By doing that you should hopefully be able to avoid being stolen from again.

Indeed, I personally recommend just dropping the items.
